This is reported by BBC.

One of the defendants was sentenced to six months in prison, another to ten weeks, while the other two will spend only a month behind bars. A fifth suspect, being a minor, was ordered to perform community service.

According to BBC, during the trial, video footage was shown that captured one of the defendants attacking Israeli fans in a square in Amsterdam.

Another suspect, as claimed by the investigation, incited violence in a WhatsApp group chat, where he referred to his assault victims as "cowardly" Jews, stating that he would never have another chance to attack them.

What happened in Amsterdam?

On the evening of November 7, following a match between the Israeli club "Maccabi" and the Dutch "Ajax," clashes occurred between Israeli fans and pro-Palestinian activists in the Netherlands.

Videos circulating on social media show attacks and beatings of Israelis or individuals mistaken for them. Five people were hospitalized with injuries. To restore order, the police deployed six special units and 800 officers from across the country.

Law enforcement arrested 63 individuals, four of whom remained in custody as of the morning of November 9.

The Amsterdam police, the mayor, and the prosecution announced public order risks and banned any demonstrations. On November 8, approximately 3,000 "Maccabi" fans returned to Israel, including additional flights provided by the Israeli government.

The attacks occurred just before the 86th anniversary of Kristallnacht—a targeted action against Jews in Nazi Germany, which resulted in around 90 deaths. In Israel, the violence against Jewish fans has been labeled a "pogrom."
