This is reported on the National Guard's page.
They emphasize that the distinction awarded to Trukhanov does not qualify as an official award, departmental or state distinction (medal).
Earlier, the official Telegram channel of the Odessa City Council published a video and photographs of Trukhanov receiving the medal "For Loyalty to the Ukrainian People" from the separate assault brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Spartan."
The award was presented by the deputy commander of the brigade, Andrey Kosyachenko, during an extraordinary session of the city council on October 25. He expressed gratitude to the residents of Odessa, the city council deputies, and Trukhanov for their financial support of the military unit.
"Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to improve our material and technical support and provide the necessary resources for fulfilling our duties. You are doing important work, and your support is invaluable", the military expressed gratitude.
At the same time, Trukhanov assured that Odessa will continue to assist the Ukrainian military.
As a reminder, in June, Trukhanov received the award "For Service and Valor". Following this, some individuals on social media expressed outrage, claiming that such awards should only be given to military personnel. There were also allegations that the mayor of Odessa is supposedly pro-Russian and holds a Russian passport.
Additionally, Trukhanov has been awarded the Order of Daniel of Galicia (2008), the Orders of "For Merits" of III and II degrees (2010 and 2013), along with various other honors.
