Losses of Ukraine
On December 8, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that in the full-scale war against Russia, 43,000 Ukrainian servicemen have died. At the same time, there have been 370,000 instances of assistance to the wounded. According to Zelensky, 50% of the injured are returning to service.
Previously, Kyiv did not disclose data on losses among its servicemen. The Ministry of Defense stated that the information regarding the number of fallen Ukrainian fighters would remain confidential until the end of martial law.
According to calculations from the "Book of Memory of the Fallen for Ukraine" project, released in mid-November 2023, at least 30,000 Ukrainian fighters have died since February 24, 2022. Additionally, nearly 100,000 military personnel have been injured, but most of them were either on duty or were expected to return to it soon.
