This is mentioned in a statement from G7 leaders.
“This significant outcome reaffirms the commitments made by G7 leaders at the summit in June,” the statement reads.
The initial disbursements are expected to commence by the end of this year.
Recall that on June 13, the leaders of the "Group of Seven" agreed to provide Ukraine with a loan of 50 billion dollars. It is planned to use the profits from the interest on frozen assets of the Russian central bank as collateral.
Bloomberg reported that the funds will be allocated to support Ukraine's defense, economy, and recovery, although the specifics may still change. Assistance is set to start arriving by the end of the year.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that the loan will not be funded by EU countries, and the funds will come from the USA, Canada, the UK, and possibly Japan.
