«Не знал страха»: в ВСУ поделились историей десантника Кобры и его рукопашной схватки с врагом.

Солдаты 71-й отдельной егерской бригады поделились рассказом о Дмитрии Масловском, известном под позывным Кобра, который вступил в рукопашный бой с оккупантом, вооруженным ножом, чтобы защитить своих товарищей во время операции по очистке села Трудовое в Донецкой области.

This is mentioned in the TSN report.

The video of Dmitry's hand-to-hand combat, which took place in November 2024, was widely shared on social media. At that time, the battles in Trudove were among the crucial ones for the defense of Kurakhove, making it essential for the fighters to storm the outskirts of the village to strengthen the city's flanks.

However, the specific task for Kobra and Khaza, whom Dmitry called out in the video, was to cover the rear and monitor the approach of equipment at the observation posts, as one of the soldiers explained.

While the assault group was clearing the thicket, Russian infantry was approaching from the direction of the position where Kobra and Khaza were located. They managed to eliminate one occupier, after which Dmitry went off in search of another.

“Kobra ordered Khaza to stay with specific specialized weaponry to control the transit area […] And Kobra decided to take matters into his own hands based on his experience; this was a command decision that deserves respect,” emphasized one of the brigade's soldiers.

As journalists discovered, Kobra was trying to overcome a soldier from the 39th Guards Brigade of the Russian Federation.

The 71st brigade explained why Khaza did not hear Dmitry during the battle: “Khaza could not, he had his own controlled sector, and the distance from where Kobra was located was about 600 meters. Moreover, consider that two other groups were simultaneously conducting a sweep, meaning there was intense gunfire, grenade explosions, and serious cannonade.”

After the battle, the position where Dmitry's partner was located was empty. The fighter had not been in contact, and it was anticipated that he would be reported as missing in action. However, Khaza was eventually found during another assault in the village's basements. He is currently in the hospital and remains in serious condition.

Dmitry Maslovsky hails from the Odesa region; he had been serving in the army since 2017 and joined the 71st Airborne Assault Brigade after the full-scale war began.

“He was hot-headed, always bold, sometimes a bit too much; it was necessary to rein him in. He feared nothing and no one,” recounted one of the brigade's soldiers.

He always tried to cover his assault troops, which is why his comrades regard him as a heroic fighter. The 71st brigade submitted Dmitry's name for the title of Hero of Ukraine last year.
