The United Kingdom and France will collaborate with Ukraine on a peace plan, which will then be presented to Washington.

This was announced by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as reported by the Guardian.

According to him, these agreements were reached following discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French leader Emmanuel Macron. Additionally, one or two more countries may join this effort.

Starmer emphasized that if an agreement is reached, it "must be safeguarded," as the worst outcome would be a violation of the agreements by Russia.

"This has happened in the past. I believe this is a real risk, and therefore we must ensure that if an agreement is made, it will be a long-term agreement, not just a temporary pause," the British Prime Minister noted.

Recall that on March 2, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to host leaders from over a dozen European countries at a summit in the UK to discuss Russia's war against Ukraine and broader European security.

The meeting of European leaders will be a continuation of the summits held on February 17 and 19, organized by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
