Оккупант вывез девушку из Харьковщины в Белгород, более года удерживал ее в квартире и подвергал насилию — сообщает ОГП.

This was reported by the Office of the General Prosecutor and the National Police.

The suspect is a serviceman from the 1st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, who participated in the capture of the Izium region.

According to the investigation, in the spring of 2022, while in one of the villages of the Izium region, the occupier broke into the home where a 21-year-old girl lived with her family. He seized her and forcibly dragged her to a neighboring house, which was empty. Threatening her with a firearm, the occupier raped the girl. He later did so again.

Subsequently, the soldier requested two other occupiers, known by their call signs Ibrahim and Maga, to take the girl to the Russian city of Belgorod.

In June 2022, they arrived at her location, ordered her to pack her belongings and documents immediately, and threatened to shoot her entire family if she refused or resisted. The Russians placed her in a vehicle and took her to the border checkpoint "Verigovka," where they forced her to go through passport control.

On the Russian side of the border, the suspect was already waiting for her. He brought the girl to an apartment in Belgorod, where he held her against her will for more than a year, raped her, and systematically beat her.

“To prevent the girl from escaping, the windows and balcony were secured with iron bars, and the front door was always locked,” investigators established.

Systematic beatings, psychological suffering, unlawful detention, and sexual slavery led the girl to attempt suicide by ingesting boric acid.

Eventually, she managed to escape captivity after the occupier was detained by the Russian military police for evading military service. The girl is now in Ukraine.

The occupier has been charged in absentia with cruel treatment of civilians and violations of the laws and customs of war, committed in conspiracy with a group of individuals (Part 1 of Article 438, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 12 years in prison.
