Due to shelling in the Kherson region over the past day, one person has died and five have been injured.
The Russian army struck 30 settlements in the region; this was reported on Telegram on December 17 by the head of the regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin.
According to him, the enemy's attacks affected Antonovka, Goncharne, Ingulets, Tomina Balka, Kizomis, Belozerka, Berislav, Stanislav, Shirokaya Balka, Novoberislav, Poniatovka, Gavrilovka, Sadovoe, Tokarevka, Kamyshany, Mikhailovka, Novoraysk, Lviv, Nikolaevka, Nikolaevka Hromadne, Veseloye, Tomarino, Tyahinka, Olga, Ivanovka, Novovorontsovka, Novotyahinka, Chernobayevka, and Kherson.
The Russian army targeted residential areas, critical, and social infrastructure.
It is currently known that a gas pipeline, two apartment buildings, 15 private homes, and agricultural structures have been damaged, the head of the OVA reported.
Earlier, it was reported that the Russian Federation employs a strategy of powerful cyberattacks on Ukraine's energy sector, particularly before massive shelling of the Ukrainian energy system.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak.
"Two days before the massive shelling, a strong cyberattack is carried out on many energy sector facilities. Then we know that shelling will occur within one or two days," Andarak stated.
