Regarding the Vremeevskoye direction in the Zaporizhzhia region, the panic currently being spread is not grounded in reality.
This was stated by Colonel (retired) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former General Staff officer, and military expert Oleg Zhdanov in an interview with Yevgeny Kiselyov.
According to the expert, the enemy shifted their efforts to the right flank of the Vremeevskoye operational direction, specifically to the west, in order to distract our reserves from the Kurakhove direction. The western part of the Vremeevskoye direction is partially located in the Zaporizhzhia region.
"They have started advancing from Novodarivka and Ravnopil towards Zelenoye Pole and Velyka Novosilivka. This means that combat operations, particularly in Novodarivka, are taking place on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, and they aim to reach the border between Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions and move north along the border of the Donetsk region to cut off our grouping," stated Oleg Zhdanov.
In reality, the expert believes that based on the forces and means accumulated by the occupiers there, this is a so-called secondary strike to divert part of our reserves from the main strike direction, which remains Kurakhove today.
"Not Pokrovsk, not Myrnohrad, but specifically Kurakhove. Until they capture Kurakhove, they have no opportunity to advance towards Pokrovsk," added Oleg Zhdanov.
