Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak believes that Ukraine is not yet ready for negotiations with the Russian Federation due to a lack of weapons and the absence of clear security guarantees.
In an interview with Suspilne, he stated that the issue revolves around insufficient armaments, as well as the need for clear security guarantees to ensure that Russia does not attack again in a few years.
“In general, it is necessary to dismantle the Russian narratives that Ukraine allegedly wanted war. Ukraine did not want it and did not provoke Russia in any way. The Russian Federation came here not to protect anyone, as it does not even defend its own territory. For (Russian dictator Vladimir — ed.) Putin, it is important to continue aggression on our territory,” the head of the Office explained.
According to Yermak, for negotiations to begin, Ukraine must be strong, which would allow it to speak with Russia on equal terms.
“We do not have weapons, we do not have the status we are talking about. And this means an invitation to NATO and an understanding of the clear guarantees that will be provided to us, so we can be confident that Putin will not return in two or three years,” he added.
As reported by Politeka, Sheitelman stated that discussions about a second World Summit seem to have merely delayed time until the elections in the USA, and now it is no longer needed.
Politeka also reported that Musiienko called for joining the Territorial Defense, as the situation at the front is challenging and our units need assistance.
