City residents are gathering signatures
Residents of the capital are urging the city authorities to establish a one-time financial aid payment for Kyiv warriors who defended Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to December 1, 2023.
A corresponding petition on this matter has been posted on the Kyiv City Council's website.
As the initiative's authors explain, under the current decision of the capital authorities, a material assistance of 30,000 hryvnias is being provided to those who were mobilized after December 1, 2023. At the same time, the signatories of the document emphasize that Kyiv residents who took up arms to defend their homeland before the specified date receive nothing from the city.
It is worth noting that at the first session of the Kyiv City Council this year, the deputies approved amendments to the 2025 budget, which allocate 5 billion UAH for the needs of the Defense Forces.
