Zelensky has dismissed Deputy Yermak, Mashovets, from his position.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Roman Mashovets, a veteran of military intelligence, from his position as deputy head of the President's Office.

This is mentioned in presidential decree №889/2024.

The reasons for the dismissal have not been disclosed; however, the NV publication, citing a source in the government, reports that Zelensky "had certain grievances" regarding the work of Mashovets, who oversaw the military direction in the Office of the President.

A source from the publication noted that Mashovets may move to work at the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. However, the official did not respond to journalists' inquiries and refrained from commenting on the information regarding his dismissal.

48-year-old politician and public figure Roman Mashovets was appointed Deputy Head of the President's Office in April 2020.

He graduated from the Military Diplomatic Academy. He served in a special forces unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, participated in a peacekeeping mission in Sierra Leone, and was part of the Ukrainian contingent in Iraq.

In Mashovets' blog on the "Left Bank" publication's website, it is noted that he participated in the establishment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is a co-author of the law on the creation of the Special Operations Forces.

It was also reported that he made 25 business trips to the combat zone in eastern Ukraine.
