US expects to gain $20 billion from the agreement with Ukraine

White House economic advisor Kevin Hassett mentioned that the United States anticipates receiving $20 billion in revenue from the implementation of the agreement regarding Ukrainian rare earth minerals.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine urged to view the agreement, which Ukraine and the US are set to sign on February 28, not as a final contract, but merely as a first step and the beginning of a process.

A new deputy will join the Verkhovna Rada

The Central Election Commission has recognized Inna Sviriba as the elected people's deputy of Ukraine.

She is included in the electoral list of the "Servant of the People" party under number 148 and is the next candidate in line after Irina Kormyshkina (Allahverdiyeva), who recently decided to resign her deputy mandate.

US extends sanctions against Russia

The US has extended the sanctions against Russia for another year, imposed due to its invasion of Ukraine. The corresponding decree will come into effect on February 28.

Recall that earlier, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent suggested that the issue of adjusting sanctions might be discussed during negotiations.

Bloomberg: Turkey is ready to send its peacekeepers to Ukraine

Turkey, which has the second-largest army in NATO, is open to deploying its own peacekeeping forces in Ukraine after the conclusion of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Bloomberg reports, citing its own sources.

It has been noted that Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has allegedly already discussed this matter with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Ukraine insists that any potential military mission from partners, aside from deploying ground troops, should also include patrols in the sky and the Black Sea, stated the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tikhiy.

US President Donald Trump forgot that he referred to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky as a "dictator."

A journalist asked Trump if he still considers Zelensky a "dictator," to which the Republican jokingly replied, "Did I say that?"

Kolomoisky lost the case regarding the nationalization of PrivatBank

The Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court of Ukraine denied businessman Igor Kolomoisky in his appeal against the nationalization of PrivatBank.

This case has been under consideration since 2017. In 2019, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv ruled in favor of Kolomoisky. However, in November 2023, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal overturned this decision.

The Ministry of Culture suspended the issuance of letters for artists and media workers to travel abroad

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications (MKSK) will suspend the issuance of letters to facilitate the travel of military-eligible artists and media workers abroad starting March 3.

In response, participants of the Media Movement stated that the MKSK's decision creates "artificial barriers" to performing professional activities and called for it to be revoked.

An official from Chernivtsi OVA allegedly refused to sit next to a veteran

The First Deputy Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, Alena Atamanyuk, has been accused of allegedly not wanting to sit next to a veteran because he was "not her equal." The official denies this.

State Border Guard Service: Humanitarian cargo carriers will cross the border on common grounds

The State Border Guard Service announced that men transporting humanitarian and medical cargo will cross the border on common grounds.

Recall that during martial law, Ukrainian legislation prohibits men aged 18 to 60 from leaving the country, with certain exceptions. This exemption includes male drivers who assist in transporting humanitarian cargo.
