Law enforcement has improved the effectiveness of crime resolution
During the past year, the number of fraud cases in Ukraine has decreased by 2.4 times. However, this is still 2.7 times higher than before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.
This information was reported by opendatabot referencing data from law enforcement agencies.
It is noted that in the first quarter, investigative authorities opened about 8,000 cases per month under the article "fraud," while in the last quarter, only 3,300 cases were opened.
Meanwhile, the resolution of such cases has also improved: last year, 15,607 cases reached the courts, which accounts for 24% of the total number of cases opened last year. In contrast, the rate for 2022 and 2023 was only 18%.
Recall that capital law enforcement officials identified and arrested a fraudster who sent fake phone models instead of "Iphone 15 Pro" and "Iphone 15 Pro Max" to residents of Kyiv.
