In Russia, a commander linked to the mass deaths in the village of Groza has been attacked. He is currently in critical condition.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the intelligence report, an explosion occurred on January 3 in the city of Shuya, Ivanovo region, where Captain Konstantin Nagayko, commander of the battery of the 112th missile brigade of the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation, was at the epicenter.

“He was on duty at his military unit, and now he is on the brink of death,” the GUR noted. They added that Nagayko has multiple shrapnel injuries affecting nearly all organs, including the brain, and he underwent a craniotomy.

There are rumors within the Russian 112th missile brigade that the 29-year-old captain has little chance of survival. His condition is critical.

He was born in the city of Svobodny in the Amur region of Russia. He graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation and the Mikhailovskaya Military Artillery Academy.

According to the GUR, the Russian was directly involved in the full-scale war and is connected to strikes with Iskander ballistic missiles against civilian and military targets in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

In particular, Nagayko's unit committed a war crime in the village of Groza in the Kupiansk district on October 5, 2023. The occupiers launched a missile strike on a cafe during the memorial service for a local resident—a fallen soldier. At that time, 59 civilians were killed, including an eight-year-old boy. Additionally, 5 people were injured.
