As a result of the Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih, a grandmother and her grandson lost their lives.

20-year-old Alexey was studying at a pedagogical institute, aiming to become a geography teacher. His classmates informed journalists that they called him after his arrival, but he did not answer the phone.

Alena Alexeyevna, Alexey Akimenko's grandmother, died alongside her grandson near their apartment entrance. Elena previously worked at the local hospital.

The publication states that after the first explosion, Alexey ran to the educational institution where his aunt works. She was safe at that time. They met and headed home, where his grandmother came out to open the entrance door. It was then that the second explosion occurred.

Doctors are currently fighting for his aunt's life.

Attack on Kryvyi Rih

On the afternoon of January 17, the occupiers struck Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles. As a result of the strike, four people were killed, and six others were injured.

A four-story building of one of the educational institutions was partially destroyed in the city.

Additionally, missiles hit open areas, damaging two apartment buildings and an outbuilding. A fire broke out on the fourth floor of one of the buildings.
