Alena Alexeyevna, Alexey Akimenko's grandmother, died alongside her grandson near their apartment entrance. Elena previously worked at the local hospital.
The publication states that after the first explosion, Alexey ran to the educational institution where his aunt works. She was safe at that time. They met and headed home, where his grandmother came out to open the entrance door. It was then that the second explosion occurred.
Doctors are currently fighting for his aunt's life.
