Italian cities will screen Russian films about Maidan and "children of Donbas." The State Cinema has responded to this development.

In various cities across Italy, screenings of the propaganda films "Maidan: The Road to War" and "Children of Donbass," produced in Russia, have been scheduled for January and February.

The State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema reported this.

They noted that the film "Maidan: The Road to War" was produced by the state Russian propaganda channel Russia Today, which "calls into question the objectivity of the events presented."

Furthermore, the film "Children of Donbas" employs emotional manipulation with sensitive themes, distorting the real situation, as stated by the State Agency.

The agency pointed out that the distribution is handled by Donbass Italia, an organization known for spreading other propaganda materials.

According to the State Agency, the films may contain distorted information regarding the events of the Revolution of Dignity and the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"Their screening at cultural venues in Italy during the full-scale war in Ukraine could contribute to disinformation and manipulation of public opinion," the institution believes.

The State Agency has reached out to the Ukrainian embassy in Italy to prevent the screening of these films.
