In the Pokrovsk district, a backhoe-loader, which was carrying rescuers, came under fire while returning from emergency rescue operations.
According to preliminary reports, the attack was carried out by an FPV drone.
As a result of the strike, the excavator operator-rescuer reportedly sustained a concussion and was hospitalized.
The excavator sustained significant damage.
Over the past day, on February 8, Russian troops continued shelling the Donetsk region. Five people were injured. The situation in the areas is as follows:
- Pokrovsk district. In Myrnohrad, a vehicle was damaged. In Pokrovsk, four people were injured, four apartment buildings, a private house, an outbuilding, and a vehicle were destroyed; in Hryshyne, six private houses were hit. In Malynivka and Fedorivka of the Hrodiv community — four houses.
- Kramatorsk district. In Zarechne of the Lyman community, three houses were damaged. In Konstantynivka, one person was injured, 22 private houses, three power lines, and three gas pipelines were damaged; in Ivanopillia — two houses and a gas pipeline.
- Bakhmut district. In Siversk, eight houses came under fire.
