In Donetsk region, a man was killed due to Russian shelling, while six others were injured.

In the Donetsk region, one person was killed and six others were injured due to Russian shelling on January 11.

This is reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office.

During the shelling of the village of Grishino in the Pokrovsk district, a 78-year-old pensioner was killed while outside. Prosecutors are determining the type of weapon used by the occupiers.

Additionally, Russian forces dropped aerial bombs on the city of Belitskoye, located between Dobropolie and Pokrovsk. Four men aged 40, 44, and 49 sustained concussions, shrapnel injuries, mine-blast injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. They were taken to the hospital.

In the city of Konstantinovka, two women aged 50 and 67 were injured as a result of Russian shelling from artillery. They were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds and mine-blast injuries.

Residential houses, vehicles, apartment buildings, and power lines were damaged in the affected areas.

Prosecutors have initiated pre-trial investigations into criminal cases concerning war crimes, specifically under parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Situation in the Region

According to data from the Donetsk police, over the past day, on January 10, one person was killed and another was injured as a result of Russian shelling.

During the day, the police recorded 2469 Russian strikes along the front line and in residential areas. Specifically, Russian troops shelled six populated areas: the cities of Belitskoye, Konstantinovka, Lyman, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and the village of Nikolaevka.

In Pokrovsk, the occupiers struck using Grad multiple rocket launchers and artillery, resulting in the death of a woman.
