Former Wagner fighters have been spotted in Chasiv Yar. Daily assaults are taking place by the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

This was reported during a telethon by the spokesperson of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Daniel, Andrey Polukhin.

According to him, former "Wagner" fighters are currently fighting as part of "Akhmat" or the DSHRG "Rusich". The Russian 98th Airborne Division is also participating in the battles for Chasov Yar.

Polukhin stated that these are military personnel who “have undergone intensive training and are prepared for combat both in urban areas and in the fields.”

The spokesperson of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade also added that the current situation in Chasov Yar is extremely difficult, as Russian forces are storming Ukrainian positions daily, employing tactics of small group assaults.

Earlier, it became known that Russian occupiers likely set fire to a collector containing a hundred of their fallen near Chasov Yar to avoid retrieving the bodies and to conceal their significant losses from the Defense Forces' strike.
