This was reported by the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From the evening of February 11 and during the night, Russian forces attacked Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih with Iskander-M ballistic missiles (guided S-400 missiles). A total of six launches were recorded from the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation and one from occupied Crimea.
Additionally, the Russians launched 123 Shahed-type strike drones and decoy drones targeting Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation.
As of 08:30 on February 12, the destruction of 6 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (using S-400 systems) and 71 Shahed-type strike drones (other types of UAVs) has been confirmed. They were shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.
An additional 40 enemy decoy drones were lost to radar detection (without negative consequences).
To repel the enemy's air assault, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved.
According to the Air Forces, as a result of the nighttime attack, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk (Kryvyi Rih), Sumy, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions were affected.
