Ukrainian forces have eliminated over a thousand Russian soldiers and destroyed 18 of their armored vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the past 24 hours, on February 2, the Russian army has suffered the loss of an additional 1,340 soldiers killed and wounded. Since February 2022, Russia's total personnel losses have reached 825,320 individuals.

Additionally, the Russians continue to lose equipment. Specifically:

  • tanks — 9920 (+12 over the past 24 hours);
  • armored fighting vehicles — 20,685 (+18);
  • artillery systems — 22,589 (+51);
  • MLRS — 1268 (+1);
  • air defense systems — 1053 (+3);
  • airplanes — 369;
  • helicopters — 331;
  • operational-tactical UAVs — 23,911 (+118);
  • cruise missiles — 3054;
  • ships and boats — 28;
  • submarines — 1;
  • automotive equipment and fuel tankers — 35,798 (+89);
  • special equipment — 3731 (+2).

Ukraine's Losses

On December 8, 2024, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that in the full-scale war with Russia 43,000 Ukrainian servicemen have died. At the same time, there are also reports of 370,000 instances of assistance provided to the wounded. According to Zelensky, 50% of the injured return to duty.

Previously, Kyiv had not disclosed data on losses among its servicemen. The Ministry of Defense indicated that information regarding the number of deceased Ukrainian soldiers would remain classified until the end of martial law.

According to estimates from the "Book of Memory of Those Fallen for Ukraine" project, released in mid-November 2023, at least 30,000 Ukrainian fighters have died since February 24, 2022. An additional 100,000 military personnel have been injured, but most of them were either in service or were about to return to it.
