A woman is accused of official negligence that caused budget losses amounting to nearly 1.3 million hryvnias.
Prosecutors have submitted an indictment to the court against the former head of the procurement department of the KP "Informatics" of the Kyiv City State Administration.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The official is charged with official negligence (part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), which led to KP "Informatics" purchasing computer equipment at inflated prices at the end of December 2022.
“The conclusions of the examinations conducted during the pre-trial investigation established that the cost of certain components was inflated by almost 1.3 million hryvnias. Thus, the city budget suffered losses of this amount,” the prosecutor's office stated.
The sanction of the article attributed to the official provides for imprisonment for a term of two to five years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, and a fine ranging from 250 to 750 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, or without such.
Recall that recently law enforcement officials reported suspicions against two officials from the Communication and Management Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who purchased tablets at inflated prices.
