A mother reported the police about the ammunition

Law enforcement in Kyiv has submitted an indictment to the court against a man who stored a grenade at home.

This information is reported by the communication department of the Kyiv police.

In July, a 58-year-old resident of the Podilskyi district complained to the police that her 33-year-old son was constantly in conflict with her. During another argument, she called the hotline. Upon hearing this, the man fled.

“Later, upon the arrival of the law enforcement officers, the complainant informed the police about the explosive device that her son had at home. Explosive specialists confiscated the ammunition, and operatives located and detained the offender in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine,” the police reported.

The man was charged under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code for illegal handling of combat ammunition or explosive substances. The penalty under this article can be up to seven years of imprisonment.
