In his place, his first deputy Maria Kvyatkovskaya has temporarily assumed the role of acting chairperson.
Previously, he and his mother — the head of the medical and social expert commission (MSEC) in the Khmelnytsky region, Tatyana Krupa — were exposed for illegally enriching themselves by millions of dollars. The following day, the State Bureau of Investigations announced suspicions against the head of the regional MSEC and placed her under arrest.
It is known that Krupa was elected to the Khmelnytsky Regional Council from the "Servant of the People" party and is a member of the Commission on Health and Social Policy, Education, Science, Culture, Religion, Youth, and Sports. Additionally, the regional council's website reported that Krupa led the parliamentary group "For Family Values" in 2021.
The political force has stated that they initiated her dismissal from the regional council under the imperative mandate rule — as a deputy who failed to meet the voters' trust.
According to law enforcement, during searches at the Krupa family's residence, almost 6 million dollars in various currencies were found in cash. Furthermore, according to the SBI, authorities seized documents confirming the illegal activities of officials and their money laundering through various business projects. During investigative actions, the head of the MSEC attempted to dispose of part of the money by throwing two bags containing half a million dollars out of the window.
On October 7, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv sent Krupa to custody for two months with the option of bail exceeding 500 million hryvnias.
Alexander Krupa and his father Vladimir are the founders of LLC "SOLAR-INVEST," which is engaged in the production of solar electricity.
Additionally, according to Alexander Krupa's declaration, during his year as head of the regional Pension Fund, he earned 657,126 hryvnias. Moreover, he owns an apartment, several plots of land, and four cars.
