Land Schemes Exposed in Kyiv
Law enforcement officials have uncovered illegal activities involving one of the capital's notaries, who was transferring valuable city land into private ownership based on forged documents.
This was reported by the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office.
According to law enforcement, it was established that in July 2023, a state notary registered the ownership rights to a land plot located at 65-B Novovokzalna Street in the Solomianskyi District of Kyiv, based on a counterfeit decision from the Kyiv City Council, with a value exceeding 7 million hryvnias.
Currently, a lawsuit has been initiated by prosecutors regarding the reclamation of the land plot from the unlawful owner.
As a result of the preliminary investigation, it was also discovered that two neighboring land plots were fraudulently registered in a similar manner.
The state notary has been notified of suspicion regarding negligence in office (Part 2, Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for the illegal registration of land ownership rights.
Recall that in 2023, Kyiv became the leader among cities in Ukraine for the number of notarial offices and notaries.
