In the past month, suspicions of embezzlement of budget funds have been raised against officials from at least five city organizations
January 2025 turned out to be particularly fruitful for handing out suspicions to city officials.
According to calculations by journalists from the YouTube project "In the Shadow of the Chestnut," in the first month of the year, the following individuals received suspicions of embezzling budget funds:
- the deputy director of the municipal enterprise "Kyivmisksvitlo";
- the director of a youth sports school under the Department of Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration;
- two officials from the municipal enterprise "Kyivpastrans";
- the former head of the municipal organization "Kyivmedspetstrans";
- four former leaders of the municipal enterprise "Kyivtransparkservis."
Additionally, at the beginning of January, an indictment was submitted to the court against the deputy head of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration, the director of the Municipal Transport Service of the Kyiv City State Administration, and the head of a transport enterprise. According to the investigation, the officials demanded 40,000 hryvnias weekly from carriers for the opportunity to continue operating on the route.
