Kellogg, the special envoy, on the end of the war: "It's a matter of months, not years."

Kit Kellogg, appointed by U.S. President Donald Trump as a special envoy to Ukraine, believes that months—not years—are needed to initiate peace negotiations.
Специальный посланник Келлог о завершении войны: речь идет о месяцах, а не годах.

He mentioned this during a Fox News broadcast.

“I would like to say that we are talking about months, not years. I would like to think we could have something in the short term,” the special envoy emphasized.

Kellogg stated that he has confidence in Trump, as he “makes good deals.” He is convinced that the U.S. has a “solid and reliable plan” to initiate negotiations.

When asked about the introduction of further sanctions against Russia and the extension of arms supplies to Ukraine, Kellogg replied that the decision rests with Trump.

“Most people should be confident in the fact that he knows exactly what he is doing. He knows where to apply pressure. He will create leverage for both the Ukrainians and the Russians,” the special envoy highlighted.

Recall that Kellogg previously stated he aims to find a solution to the war within 100 days after Trump’s inauguration.

As U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured, the Donald Trump administration is not just aiming for an end to the Russo-Ukrainian war but also to ensure that it does not recur in 2-4 years.

Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that during any possible negotiations with Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin will insist that Ukraine becomes a neutral state and that the occupied territories remain with Russia.
