He stated this during a broadcast on Fox News.

The special envoy emphasized that Trump wants to end the war "as soon as possible."

"People need to understand: he is not trying to give anything to Putin or the Russians, but is actually trying to preserve Ukraine and its sovereignty. And he will ensure that this is fair and just,” the politician declared.

According to Kellogg, the "biggest mistake" of the current president Joe Biden was his refusal to speak with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, whereas Trump is willing to do so.

Therefore, the special envoy hopes to find a solution to the war "in the near future."

"I would like to set a goal both personally and professionally. I would say let's establish 100 days,” the official stated.

More about Kellogg

On November 27, Donald Trump appointed 80-year-old retired General Keith Kellogg as special envoy regarding the war in Ukraine.

Media outlets described the details of the plan proposed by Kellogg to end the war in Ukraine. In particular, he suggested a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine along the current front lines. To encourage Ukraine to initiate negotiations, it should only continue to be armed if it agrees to come to the negotiating table.

Furthermore, the plan mentions postponing the issue of Ukraine's membership in the Alliance, while Kyiv should regain occupied territories using only diplomatic means. Meanwhile, sanctions against Russia could be lifted if it signs a peace agreement that satisfies Ukraine.
