Over the past year, defense forces have eliminated nearly 36 motorized infantry divisions of the occupying forces, achieving record results.

In 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized 430,790 Russian invaders. To put this into perspective, this number is roughly equivalent to the strength of nearly 36 motorized rifle divisions of the Russian Ground Forces.

According to military estimates, in 2024 the total losses of Russians exceeded those in 2022 and 2023 combined.

The highest number of irretrievable and sanitary losses among Russian personnel in a month was recorded in December 2024 — 48,670 military personnel. This also marks the largest figure since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The previous "record" was set at the end of November 2024 — 45,720.

Additionally, over the year, the Defense Forces destroyed and incapacitated 3,689 enemy tanks — equating to approximately 119 tank battalions.

More tanks were destroyed in May — 428 units. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian units struck 31 enemy tanks in just one day, on May 12 — this is the number of equipment in a tank battalion.

Last year, Ukrainian defenders destroyed and incapacitated 8,956 armored combat vehicles of the Russian army. This corresponds to more than 37 motorized rifle divisions.

The highest number of armored combat vehicles was hit and rendered inoperable in October 2024 — 923 units. This cost the Russian budget approximately no less than half a billion dollars. The daily record was set on November 12 — 81 armored combat vehicles.

Moreover, over the year, Ukrainian forces struck 13,050 units of enemy artillery. This would be sufficient to equip 725 artillery divisions.

The greatest losses in artillery for the Russian army occurred in July — 1,520 artillery systems. This is the highest loss figure for artillery in a month since the beginning of the large-scale war.

Additionally, over the year, 313 units of Russian multiple launch rocket systems and 407 air defense assets were neutralized. In November 2024, the highest number of enemy vehicles of various purposes hit and destroyed during the large war was recorded — 2,469. The total number for the year amounts to 21,345 units.
