Earlier, intelligence reported that on January 3, a Russian national found himself at the epicenter of an explosion in the city of Shuya, Ivanovo region. At that time, Nagayko was on duty in his military unit and suffered multiple fragmentary injuries to almost all organs, including the brain.
According to the GUR, the Russian national was directly involved in the full-scale war and was implicated in strikes with Iskander ballistic missiles against civilian and military targets in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
In particular, Nagayko's unit committed a war crime in the village of Groza in the Kupiansk district on October 5, 2023. The occupiers launched a missile strike on a café during the memorial service for a local resident — a fallen soldier. At that time, 59 civilians were killed, including an eight-year-old boy. Five other people were injured.
