There have been damages reported in Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, as well as in the Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv regions.
“Each of these terrorist acts proves that we need more support to defend against Russian terror. Every air defense system, every interceptor missile saves lives. It is crucial for our partners to take action, fulfill our agreements, and increase pressure on Russia,” the president stated.
Due to the missile attack, energy providers implemented emergency outages in Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kirovohrad regions, reported “Ukrenergo.”
In Poltava, the occupiers struck a residential building, destroying the entrance. Three people died, and ten others are known to be injured.
In the Mirhorod district, the energy infrastructure has been damaged. A total of 164 residential and 1 commercial consumers were left without electricity. Specialists are already working to restore power in the region.
In the morning of February 1, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Strikes were recorded in the Kharkiv and Berestynsk districts.
According to reported by OVA head Oleg Synegubov, a 60-year-old woman was killed in the attack on the Kholodnohirskiy district. Five others were injured. A fire was also reported in a private residential house.
In the village of Cherkaska Lozova in Kharkiv region, private homes were damaged, and a garage was destroyed due to an explosion from an enemy drone’s warhead. The fire engulfed the garage and two cars. Rescuers have already extinguished the fire, shared the State Emergency Service.
In Sumy region, two people were killed due to the attack.
Moreover, on the night of February 1, the Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia with 18 "Shahed" drones, conveyed OVA head Ivan Fedorov.
As a result of the strike, a 57-year-old man was wounded. He has already received medical assistance. The city suffered damage to educational institutions, homes, car washes, private garages, and vehicles.
According to data from OVA head Mykola Kalashnyk, a private house caught fire as a result of debris from a downed UAV in the Boryspil district. Two other houses, utility buildings, and a vehicle were also damaged.
In the Fastiv district, a fire broke out in a warehouse of one of the enterprises due to falling debris, which has already been extinguished.
Additionally, on the evening before, the Russians attacked the historical center of Odesa. There, seven people were injured, all with moderate injuries.
