This was reported by the head of the city’s Defense Council, Alexander Vilkul, and Emergency Services.
Preliminary reports indicate that the Russians attacked the city with two missiles. The shelling resulted in the destruction of 15 residential buildings, three administrative structures, and a hotel. Seventeen people were injured, with eight requiring hospitalization.
The Emergency Services stated that Russian troops employed a tactic of sequential strikes: after rescue teams arrived to address the aftermath of the first missile attack, the occupiers launched a second strike, injuring one rescuer.
Currently, efforts are underway to mitigate the consequences of the shelling. Vilkul reported that teams of utility workers at the site of the strike are providing assistance in boarding up shattered windows for those in need, particularly the elderly and individuals with limited mobility.
