Russians have attacked Kyiv, resulting in casualties, damage to a metro station, and disruptions to the water supply (UPDATED).

On the morning of January 18, Russian troops launched an attack on Kyiv. As a result, four people lost their lives, and infrastructure damage was reported in several areas of the city.

This was reported by the head of the city military administration Timur Tkachенко and the mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

Around 5:00 AM, air defense systems were engaged against Russian drones in the Obolon district of the capital. Subsequently, it became known about the threat of ballistic weapons in the city.

According to Klitschko, in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, a non-residential building caught fire, and smoke was later observed in the entrance of a residential building. The entrance to the "Lukyanivska" metro station in this area was closed due to damage to the glass elements of the entrance.

Additionally, a water supply pipeline was damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district. As of 7:00 AM, there are reports of three fatalities in this area.

Updated at 7:09. The State Emergency Service clarified that, in addition to the deceased, there are three injured individuals in Shevchenkivskyi. Firefighters also extinguished fires in three vehicles, while another ten were damaged. There is partial destruction of an administrative building, a business center, and a store.

Moreover, in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital, debris has fallen.
