This was reported by the Center for National Resistance (CNR).
They state that for the "effectiveness" of this fake event, the Russians are launching a chat-bot that supposedly will assist "voters" in casting their votes for the desired candidate or filing complaints.
The illegal elections in temporarily occupied territories are scheduled for September 14, 2025, and September 20, 2026.
The Center for National Resistance emphasizes that this is how the Kremlin attempts to consolidate its power in the seized territories of Ukraine, particularly in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
"The Putin regime hopes to create a fictitious representation of these regions in the Russian parliament," the statement from the Center reads.
The CNR also reported that local collaborators have been tasked by the Kremlin to organize 9 single-member electoral districts in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.
From September 23 to 27, 2022, "referendums" regarding joining Russia were held in Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia. The fake votes took place in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. Despite none of these areas being fully controlled by Russia, the question of annexing the regions to Russia within their administrative borders was raised.
