Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using four "Iskanders" and 92 drones, with 57 of the unmanned aerial vehicles successfully intercepted.

On the night of January 23, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, along with 92 Shahed strike drones and decoy unmanned aerial vehicles. Air defense systems successfully intercepted 57 hostile targets.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The enemy launched missiles from the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, while drones were deployed from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and Defense Forces.

As a result of combat operations, 57 drones were shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Additionally, 27 enemy imitation drones were lost to detection.

Consequences of the Shelling

During the night, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia, resulting in one man's death and injuries to 26 others.

The enemy struck a residential building, causing significant damage. Windows were shattered and the roof was damaged due to the blast wave. Sixteen individuals were injured, including four emergency service workers and a two-month-old infant.
