Russia has targeted Ukraine's energy sector, with a focus on gas infrastructure. (UPDATED)

Russia launched a massive missile and drone strike on targets within Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

The Minister of Energy, Herman Galushchenko, stated this.

According to him, the gas infrastructure was particularly targeted. To mitigate potential consequences, the data transmission system operator is implementing emergency electricity restrictions.

Gas infrastructure facilities in the Poltava region were under attack. As reported by the OVA, as a result of the missile strike, nine settlements in the Myrgorod district were left without gas supply.

In “Ukrenergo,” it was announced that due to the missile attack by Russians, emergency power outages are being implemented across the country.

These outages will be lifted when the air raid alert ends and the situation in the energy system stabilizes.

Updated at 11:04. Emergency outages have been lifted, as reported by “Ukrenergo.”
