On the morning of January 18, Russian forces struck Kyiv. As a result, three people died in the Shevchenkivskyi district, and three others were injured.
Some areas of the city have sustained damage to infrastructure. Among other things, there was partial destruction of an administrative building, a business center, and a shop. Several vehicles also caught fire.
Officials from the State Bureau of Investigations announced suspicions against the son of a current member of parliament for embezzling funds from a local community in the Lviv region.
Following this, the "European Solidarity" party claimed alleged political pressure from the authorities and the opening of seemingly politically motivated criminal cases against its deputies.
The Russians struck Zaporizhzhia, hitting the city center. Currently, one man is reported dead, and another 10 people are injured.

Ukrainian military Special Operations Forces attacked a "Rosneft" base in the settlement of Lyudinovo in the Kaluga region of Russia. This base supplies Russian troops involved in the war against Ukraine.
Additionally, a source from Hromadske in the Defense Forces reported that the military of the Main Intelligence Directorate hit an oil base in the Tula region. They used drones produced in Ukraine for this operation.
Law enforcement officials announced suspicions against former deputy of the "Opposition Bloc" and "Party of Regions" Vadym Novinsky, particularly accusing him of treason. Investigators established that he had attracted foreign parishioners to discredit Ukraine on the international stage. Moreover, Novinsky gave interviews to the media in which he actively incited hatred and hostility on religious grounds.
Japanese volunteer Fuminori Tsuchiko, who opened a free café in Kharkiv called FuMi Caffe, stated that he might leave Ukraine since he has not yet received residency here.
According to him, he has repeatedly contacted the State Migration Service in Kharkiv to obtain permission for temporary residence, but he claims that they have not accepted him there.
