The increase was due to the adult population
From January 6 to 12, 7,259 people in Kyiv were diagnosed with influenza and ARVI.
This is a 16.9% rise compared to the previous week, reports the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Among the patients, there were 3,269 adults (+31.9% compared to the previous week) and 3,630 children (+5%), including 1,682 schoolchildren and 1,005 preschool-aged children.
The weekly incidence rate is 3.2 times below the epidemic threshold.
The number of hospitalized patients with influenza and ARVI was 108 (41 adults and 67 children).
