On the morning of Tuesday, December 31, the Russian army launched another large-scale attack on Ukraine, specifically targeting the city of Shostka in the Sumy region.

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the enemy carried out a missile strike on the infrastructure of the Shostka community.

The enemy launched a missile strike on the Shostka community in Sumy, resulting in damage, including to residential buildings, as well as the destruction of infrastructure facilities, reported the mayor of Shostka, Nikolai Noga.

“Today, December 31, the enemy struck the territory of the Shostka community and continues shelling. Some infrastructure facilities have been destroyed. Twelve multi-story residential buildings, two educational institutions, and other social facilities have been damaged,” the mayor of Shostka stated on Facebook.

Emergency rescue units are working at the strike sites, and losses and damages are being assessed.
