This is reported by “Suspilne Sumy” and the city council.
The mother, daughter, and aunt were laid to rest in the Holy Resurrection Cathedral of Sumy. On November 8, 14-year-old Anna was supposed to celebrate her birthday.
The couple's older son, Ivan, was in Kyiv at the time. He recalls that his friend called him to inform him that a "shahed" had hit their home. According to him, neighbors found father Anatoliy. He had suffered a broken rib and other injuries. Later, they discovered his sister and mother.
The dog Yuma, which Anna had adopted from volunteers at a shelter and trained under the guidance of a dog trainer, survived. She sustained burns and an eye injury.
Mother Irina worked for the Jewish charitable organization “Hesed Haim.” The attack also claimed the life of Anatoliy's biological sister, Lyudmila, who had health issues and for whom he was the guardian.
On the night of October 22, Russians attacked a residential neighborhood in Sumy with a drone, killing three people: a 14-year-old girl, her 54-year-old mother, and her 62-year-old aunt. The 54-year-old father was injured.
The local publication “Kordon.Media” reported based on a neighbor's account that the man was found and rescued from the house by neighbors, while the woman and daughter were trapped under the rubble. The older woman lived separately in an outbuilding. She was ill, which prevented her from protecting herself.
