This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The "Shaheds" were launched from Russian regions such as Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, while 51 of them were destroyed within the Sumy, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, Kherson, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Chernivtsi regions.
The remaining 60 drones were likely suppressed due to electronic warfare measures, and two more drones returned to Russia. Over 20 "Shaheds" are still in the airspace of Ukraine.
In addition to the drones, Russian forces struck the Donetsk region with a guided missile from the S-300/400 systems from temporarily occupied territory, and they targeted the Chernihiv region with an air-launched missile X-59 from Kursk region. The Air Forces did not specify their destruction.
The head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Negoda, reported an attack on one of the industrial facilities in the region. A fire broke out there, but it was quickly extinguished. There were no casualties.
It is noteworthy that this nighttime drone attack occurred after a one-day break: the night of October 15 marked the first time in 48 days without Russian drones, as claimed by monitoring resources.
