Ukraine was targeted by 55 drones of various types, with air defense successfully intercepting the majority.

On the night of February 2, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 55 Shahed-type drones, along with decoy drones. Ukrainian defenses managed to intercept 40 of these aerial vehicles.

Drones were shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions.

Additionally, 13 Russian drones vanished from radar without causing any damage.

Kharkiv and Sumy regions were affected by shelling. In Sumy region, explosions from the UAV attack were heard in various communities, reported the Regional Military Administration. In the Sadovska community, five multi-apartment residential buildings and two cars were damaged due to the drone strike.

Furthermore, as a result of a UAV impact in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, textiles, paper, and polymer materials were burning in a warehouse of a civilian enterprise. Fortunately, there were no casualties, said the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

Moreover, a drone attacked an economic facility in Lyubotyn, Kharkiv region. A fire broke out, damaging cars, houses, and outbuildings. A 39-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man sustained burns and were taken to the hospital.

In the Izium district of the region, due to a "Shahed" strike, garbage was burning, and the windows of a dormitory and four cars were damaged. However, there were no casualties reported.
