President Volodymyr Zelensky posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to Iryna Tsybukh (Cheka), who served as a combat medic in the volunteer battalion "Hospitallers."

She received the title of Hero of Ukraine for her personal courage and heroism displayed in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as her selfless service to the Ukrainian people.
The 25-year-old combat medic of the volunteer battalion "Hospitallers," Iryna Tsybukh died during a rotation in the Kharkiv direction on May 29. She would have turned 26 on June 1.
Since 2015, she had been traveling to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions as a military paramedic and was also a combat medic in the volunteer battalion "Hospitallers." Additionally, she worked as a journalist and served as a manager in the Regional Broadcasting Department of "Suspilne."
In 2023, Iryna Tsybukh was awarded the "UP 100. Women's Power" prize. In the same year, on the occasion of Television, Radio, and Communications Day, she received an award from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky – the Order of Merit.
Following the death of the combat medic, President Zelensky emphasized that Iryna was one of those who “not only defended the state but also did everything to ensure that others joined in, trained, and learned to be effective” in matters of frontline medicine, respect for Ukrainian warriors, and the memorialization of the feats of Ukrainians.
“It is very important that her deeds and the efforts of all our fallen heroes continue,” the head of state stressed.
