In the evening of January 6, residential buildings caught fire in the city due to incoming strikes. On the morning of the 7th, Russian forces attacked Semenivka again.
Among the injured are two men aged 45 and 65, as well as a 68-year-old woman. Two individuals were hospitalized.
According to the regional administration, the Russians targeted civilian infrastructure. Enterprises, buildings, and homes of local residents were damaged.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings regarding these incidents under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — war crimes.
According to the data from the Regional Military Administration, during the week from December 30 to January 6, Russian troops injured 15 people as a result of shelling in Chernihiv and Semenivka, with one person killed.
During that week, the Russians conducted 114 shelling attacks, launched 2 missile strikes, and carried out 50 airstrikes using X-59 missiles, KABs, unguided air-to-surface missiles, Shahed kamikaze drones, and strike FPV drones.
The occupiers completely destroyed 3 residential buildings and 2 utility structures, damaged 2 multi-storey buildings, 82 houses, 30 utility structures, 4 administrative buildings, and vehicles. Additionally, Russian forces targeted 2 boiler houses, a lyceum building, a bakery, a store, a hangar, and a pallet manufacturing workshop.
As a result of the strike on Semenivka, 2 wings of the city hospital were damaged (this marks the third attack on a medical facility). Currently, the hospital has suspended planned hospitalizations. Patients with acute conditions are being referred to another facility.
