Occupants aimed to hoist the tricolor flag over Toretsk, but "they didn't even have time to unfurl it" – reports the "Predator" brigade (VIDEO).

On the morning of February 9, Russian troops aimed to raise the Russian flag over a mine in Toretsk, but Ukrainian forces countered the move by launching an attack with VOG grenades.

This was reported by representatives of the joint brigade "Predator" of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine.

“The 'Predators' attacked the [enemy] with an air drop, while the adjacent unit — the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign — covered them with artillery. As a result, the enemy didn’t even have time to unfold the flag. Meanwhile, another enemy group attempted to somehow place the tricolor in the city — they simply tossed it onto a building like trash,” the brigade stated.

It is noted that a fighter from the "Predator" brigade shot down the Russian flag with a VOG air drop.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the evening of February 8 that in the Toretsk direction, the Russians concentrated their main offensive efforts near Krymske and Toretsk.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has already claimed the occupation of Toretsk, but Ukrainian military officials denied this. It is noted that urban battles continue there.
