Drones attacked an oil depot in the Smolensk region of Russia.

In the Smolensk region of Russia, reports have emerged of a drone attack that resulted in damage to an oil storage facility.

This was reported by the governor of the region, Vasily Anokhin.

Air defense systems were active in the Yartsevsky district.

According to the official, preliminary information suggests that the debris from one of the drones fell on the territory of an oil depot. This resulted in a fuel spill and a fire involving flammable materials.

Rescue services are working to contain the aftermath. There is no threat to residential buildings.

In total, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 68 drones. Specifically, 25 UAVs were allegedly shot down over Bryansk region, 17 over occupied Crimea, 11 over Krasnodar Krai, 10 over Smolensk region, two over Tver, and one each over Rostov, Kursk, and Kaluga.

Ukraine has been accused of the attack, but the official Kyiv has yet to comment on these allegations.
