One of the points where the occupiers will attempt to break through in the Zaporizhzhia region is the Rabotynsky salient, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated in 2023.
This was stated by military expert, retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan in an interview with the Commander-in-Chief.
According to the expert, the enemy may intensify combat operations in the Pologi - Hulyaipole area to cut off the bypass roads that allow Ukrainian defenders to supply Novosilka and Velika Novosilka.
Roman Svitan emphasized that it is likely that the offensive operations of the Russian occupation forces in the Zaporizhzhia region will focus on its northeastern part, while the regional center Zaporizhzhia will remain as unreachable for the Russians in 2025 as Dnipro, due to their lack of strength and resources for such a large-scale offensive.
The military expert noted that the town of Pologi, located south of Hulyaipole, is one of the important military hubs, featuring both a railway and a highway, which provides good logistics for the supply of ammunition and deployment of equipment; the occupiers will exploit this to create problems for us in the Hulyaipole area.
"But again, this is in the general concept of the advancement of Russian troops along the border of the Donetsk region and from the south," – added Roman Svitan.
