Naev, who took charge of the "Great Novoselka" group after a year without a position, has arrived at the task location.

Lieutenant General Sergey Naev, who was appointed as the commander of the tactical group "Bolshaya Novoselka" the day before, announced his arrival at the task execution site.
Наев, возглавивший группу «Великая Новоселка» после годичного перерыва, прибыл для выполнения поставленных задач.

He wrote about it on his Telegram page.

He mentioned that he is getting acquainted with the state of affairs and studying the composition of forces and resources. Naev noted that before him are "tired, but unbreakable warriors."

"We hold the defense not only with weapons but also with the strength of spirit. We maintain formation because behind us are those we love. We know what we are fighting for. Ukraine will win. And we will do everything in our power to achieve this," the military emphasized.

It is worth recalling that earlier journalist Yuriy Butusov stated that President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Naev as the commander of the tactical group "Bohdana Novoselka."

Butusov linked this to Naev's recent interview, in which he specifically criticized the legal proceedings against former commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the journalist, after receiving a combat order, Naev noted that it could not be executed immediately, as the position of the tactical group commander is non-staff, and one would need to hold a permanent position in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be appointed to this role.

"Zelensky did not know this, and everyone was in such a hurry to fulfill his emotional command that no one paid attention to the details. Now the Ministry of Defense and the President's Office are searching and contemplating what position to assign Naev to send him to the tactical group," Butusov wrote.

What did Naev say?

In an interview with "Ukrainian Truth," Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev explained that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the actions taken in a short timeframe were initiatives, independent decisions made by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, and other commanders.

In Naev's opinion, it was necessary to make a decision in advance regarding the use of the Armed Forces (that is, to give the command to military leaders to begin preparation and execution of the planned actions), introduce a legal regime of martial law, and increase the number of troops through mobilization.

Naev also deemed the legal proceedings against military leaders during wartime as "unacceptable."
