This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The missiles were launched from the Rostov region, while the drones approached from five directions: Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:00 AM, the downing of 33 "Shaheds" and drones of other types has been confirmed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
Hits from hostile strike drones were recorded at facilities in the Odesa region. As noted by the head of the OVA, Oleg Kiper, the Russians targeted port infrastructure. As a result of the shelling, building facades and a residential house were damaged.
Additionally, damaged buildings of institutions, a private enterprise, and households were reported in the Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions due to the debris from downed enemy drones.
According to data from the Kyiv OVA, a child was injured during the attack. The boy is suspected of having a concussion and a laceration on his thigh. He has been hospitalized.
Moreover, nine enemy imitation drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences), and another drone exited Ukrainian airspace towards Romania.
